If you’ve spent anytime on the internet then you know 90% of it is junk. I grew tired of the constant scrolling through Facebook, Instagram, etc. A lot of the posts and ideas are hilarious too, but 1-3 hours a day is too much. It’s mind numbing, when I started setting timers for my social media I would announce to my girlfriend “well my hour for the day is up.” She would respond “No way, that felt like 5 minutes.”
This constant bombardment of people and businesses fighting for your attention is horrible for your brain. It can effect one’s ability to focus, as well as cause anxiety or even depression. Most people can’t focus on anything longer than a paragraph.
